Module 1: Introduction to Managing Stress and Anxiety

Get ready to dip your toes into our six week course as we set the groundwork for stress and anxiety management.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • How to develop a compassionate inner voice immediately.

Module 2: Coping Strategies

This week we will deep dive into coping strategies for managing stress and anxiety. Coping skills are a very important foundation of any mental health work.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • The difference between healthy and unhealthy coping skills

  • Internal and External Coping Skills

  • Unique breathing techniques

  • Progressive muscle relaxtion

Module 3: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Get ready to explore and understand Mindfulness on a deep level. Mindfulness is a powerful mindset that can expand the mind and with practice can quickly shrink anxious thoughts.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • Basics of Mindfulness

  • Principles and Benefits of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

  • Specific and simple practices of mindfulness you can use immediately

  • How to EAT Mindfully (yes, you read that right!)

Module 4: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Module Four is all about Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and exploring the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. CBT is a popular therapy and CBT skills are one of the most widely used techniques to treat anxiety.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • The principles of CBT

  • Cognitive Distortions

  • Cognitive Restructuring Techniques

  • How to complete a Thought Diary (an easy tool that can quickly diminish anxious thoughts)

Module 5: Interpersonal Relationships and Boundaries

Today’s lesson is all about relationships, boundaries, and how they can affect our stress and anxiety levels. Get ready to push your self to grow in boundary setting!

  • 8 Steps to Setting Healthy Boundaries

  • Boundary Setting Scripts

Module 6: Setting Goals and Maintaining Progress

Wrap up our six week course with some goal setting! This week is designed to really reflect on the progress you have made and the knowledge you have gained.

  • Dive deep into a Health Maintenance Plan

  • Develop a plan with specific goals to help you stay on track

  • Most video sessions are 45 minutes with the exception of Module 5 being 90 minutes

    This course is not a replacement for any mental health services.

  • I would set aside about an hour for each week. This excludes module 5 which can be split into two weeks as it is a 90 minute module.
